Employee Spotlight: Caroline Culp

Client Success Manager

Caroline Culp Polaroid

Tell us about a day in the life of a Client Success Manager at HRS.

My day to day varies so much, but for the most part, my days consist of a lot of meetings with HRS teams and with clients. I do my best to dedicate time everyday to follow up with clients via email, as well as some time for more dedicated requests and research. In quarantine, it's definitely a little harder, but I also try to fit in some time to quickly chat with my work buddies, same as I would between calls and meetings in the office. When not under quarantine, I'm usually traveling for a client visit at least once a month. I love face time with my clients because it allows me to build a better relationship with them and understand their programs and their needs.

What is your favorite thing about working at HRS?

Two things: the flexibility and the camaraderie. The camaraderie means we can work hard and still have a good time with each other. I definitely miss sitting at my desk and being able to chat with whoever walks by or being able to walk over to chat with whomever necessary when I can. But we've been really good at keeping the conversations and the fun going. The flexibility HRS has offered has been phenomenal: I didn't need to take off at all when healing from my wisdom tooth surgery because I was allowed to work from home. I don't feel like I'm constantly being watched over my shoulder either. I can create my own schedule, and as long as I'm hitting my goals and getting my work done, there are no worries. Also, when my travel is crazy, I don't have to worry about heading into the office after a long day of travel; it's expected that I will be working from home so I can allow myself to recover.

What's your favorite HRS memory?

I have so many! I think what makes HRS so special is that the day-to-day is so great. Just being able to chat with everyone else so easily. The people of HRS are my best memory and I definitely miss that office right now!

What can we find you doing outside of HRS?

I love to cook; my boyfriend and I try to each find one new recipe every week to try, although my mashed potatoes always seem to get made! Recently, we've also been going hiking on the weekends at the open parks to get some real outside time since we are stuck in our apartment. Otherwise, I'm at the gym, going for a run, or doing an at-home workout (I love Popsugar Fitness' videos!) before or after working. At the end of the day, I have been reading classic novels I never got the chance to read with my cat snoozing nearby or watching the new season of Rick & Morty with my boyfriend.

What's the heartbeat of HRS?

The #petsofhrs channel on Slack! I love seeing everyone's fur babies.

What's a fun fact about you?

I've donated my hair 3 times in my life! I might try to grow it out again for another donation while in quarantine!

What're you streaming right now?

Rick & Morty, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Midnight Gospel

If you could pick one superpower, what would it be?

Telekinesis of any kind! Or talking to animals; basically anything that could really enhance my mental capabilities.
.

Where is the best place you’ve ever traveled to? Where would you like to travel?

I've been to Colorado so many times and I cannot recommend it enough! But I really want to go to Greece, St. Thomas, and Germany.

What's your secret talent?

Baking banana bread... but that's not much of a secret around the office! I'm actually decent at painting, at least acrylics. I just got into watercolor, and while it's really hard, both of my paintings have turned out great (in my opinion).
