Why do you think it’s important for more women to join the tech industry?

I believe it's important because women bring new insights and vision that can promote technological advances and innovation. Our society can only benefit from contributions that are varied in style, thought and expertise.

What advice would you give yourself just starting out?

Don't limit yourself to what you know. Venture to do what you don't know. Become comfortable with the uncomfortable!

What first sparked your interest in working in the tech industry?

The unknown and how this industry can truly be incorporated/blended into others for the benefit of society. Technology in healthcare is a true necessity now and we need more of it.

What is the best professional advice you've ever received?

"You have nothing to prove to anyone else just to yourself". By being my honest self in all I do and with all the people I work with, the outcomes should speak for themselves... They usually did!!

What is a quote you live by?

"What goes around comes around". It's very cliche, but resonates very loud for me. Its so important to appreciate, learn from and give to others. We are all related in this circle of life so it's important to understand how important we each are to one another.

What is your favorite book, podcast or tv show and why?

At this time it would have to be the reboot of "One Day At A Time". The family's culture is what drives their unity, love and spirit. I can relate. Being Latina is not just a part of me or my family's history It is who I am as a person! The show shares with viewers how our culture and our family bond exists in every decision and feeling. Your family is who you will always have by your side in the good and ugly times.
